Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, providing critical insights into the company's financial health.
- Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and accounting principles, staying current with regulations relevant to the trucking industry.
- Collaborate with the financial team to establish and maintain internal controls and policies that safeguard the company's financial assets.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and systematic processes for efficient financial operations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, working proactively to maintain financial accuracy.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives using a data-driven approach, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Take ownership of financial projects and deliver timely results, demonstrating strong project management skills.
- Be proficient in using Excel and relevant accounting software to support financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 7+ years of finance and accounting experience
- Proven experience in a financial leadership role, within the trucking or logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial insights to non-finance team members
- Project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a dynamic, high-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
