We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our client's dynamic team at a dual entity company. This role will report directly to the owner, managing two individuals, with a clear succession plan to become the CFO. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial operations and leadership capabilities.

OVERVIEW OF THE CONTROLLER ROLE:

• Oversee and manage financial operations for two entities.
• Supervise and mentor a small team of two finance professionals.
• Collaborate directly with the owner to provide financial insights and strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls.
• Participate in high-level strategic planning and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Prepare for a long-term career growth path with a succession plan to become the CFO.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CONTROLLER:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Proven experience in a controller role or similar senior financial position.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
