About the Job
**Job Summary:**
The Controller - Consultant will play a crucial role in our Accounting team, supporting clients in achieving their financial objectives while ensuring adherence to regulations. This position involves managing budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing and preparing financial statements, offering financial insights, and optimizing inventory, cost, and asset management systems.
This is a Part time or Full time, Hybrid, W2 position

- Baton Rouge, LA
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant in industries such as manufacturing, construction, non-profit, or hospitality, preferably in a senior role.
- 5 years of experience with ERP systems like MS Dynamics, SAP, Epicor, NetSuite, or similar.
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) appreciated.
- ERP implementation/migration experience is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Proficiency in Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset.
**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Prepare and review financial statements, providing analysis and insights for strategic decisions.
- Manage inventory, cost, and asset management systems to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, including SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to improve financial performance and achieve business goals.
- Provide guidance to the finance and accounting team.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement necessary changes.
