Controller
A manufacturing company located in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Controller. We are seeking candidates with strong accounting experience coming out of a small manufacturing company, who have custom manufacturing. We are seeking a strategic thinker who can collaborate across departments and contribute to the company’s growth. This role is onsite 5 days/week, will pay up to $160K on a base + a bonus.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Lead the budgeting process and develop financial forecasts to guide strategic planning and resource allocation
- Analyze production costs, identify variances, and recommend cost-saving measures to enhance profitability
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations
- Supervise the accounting team, ensuring timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations; prepare and file tax returns as necessary
- Conduct financial analysis to support management decisions, including performance metrics and key indicators
- Work closely with other departments to align financial strategies with operational objectives
- Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of accounting experience within the manufacturing industry
- Must have Custom Manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
