Controls Engineer at Manpower Engineering

Manpower Engineering is looking for a Controls Engineer to work onsite at our client’s plant in Harrodsburg, KY.

Overview:

• Provide subject matter expertise and technical support for ongoing operation and maintenance of facilities control systems
• Manage capital projects related to system upgrades and/or energy Improvement projects
• Actively participate with the division resources to develop, define, and re-enforce standard equipment devices, controllers, components, and software
• Actively participate in, and support design reviews for all new equipment configurations / software.
• Perform the necessary rigor to ensure standard designs are included in Rebuild Appropriation Requests and installed according to the standard.

• International and domestic travel required (less than 15%).

• BS or MS BSEE or BSEET
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong, demonstrated experience with industrial controls, field instrumentation, HMI software, PLC code, and control platforms
• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
• Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions
• Ability to use the scientific method and engineering principles to solve problems thoroughly and effectively
• Ability to translate engineering solutions to process requirements that deliver and/or improve performance criteria
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
• Results oriented and high commitment
