Position Summary: Works integrally with maintenance, production, quality, and other plant functions in the quotation process for potential business, plan and launch of new production programs, analysis and solution of process problems, and continuous improvement.
What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:
+ Support day to day production & support quotation process for potential business.
+ Coordinates installation and validation of new equipment for new programs or volume increases.
+ Maintain and improve existing processes and equipment. Provide trouble shooting support to existing processes and equipment. Implement ZFPS to production lines of responsibility.
+ Analyzes and plans production capacity, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
+ Determines product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, or parts, according to specifications, quality and ZFPS standards.
+ Contact potential suppliers for production equipment and makes the final technical choice.
+ Responsible for the implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production.
+ Monitor manufacturing cost during series production to ensure it adheres to plan.
*May be required to work modified schedule to support customer requirements (i.e.: overtime, vacation coverage, off-shifts, 8 and/or 12-hour schedules, holidays, etc.).
Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years’ experience in assembly/manufacturing environment, plant layout, cost analyst, budgeting, blueprint reading, pneumatics and hydraulics.
+ Proficient at PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens Step 7 experience strongly preferred).
+ Experience with vision systems integration, programming, and trouble shooting.
+ Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and CAD software.
+ Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
+ Excellent communications capabilities with both verbal and written means.
+ Good time management and prioritizing skills.
