Job Summary
This position directs and manages facility support projects as well as implements projects that improve the capability, productivity, efficiency, and safety of manufacturing processes and facilities. This position will have responsibility for design oversight, installation, and qualification of new / modified equipment and controls, will report to the Automation and Controls Manager.

Job Summary
This position directs and manages facility support projects as well as implements projects that improve the capability, productivity, efficiency, and safety of manufacturing processes and facilities. This position will have responsibility for design oversight, installation, and qualification of new / modified equipment and controls, will report to the Automation and Controls Manager.
Responsibilities
- Engineering support for existing manufacturing equipment control systems - PLC / Drive (AC/DC) /HMI Vision controls
- Evaluating, developing and executing projects to include programming and testing
- Maintaining engineering documentation
- Wonderware support
- Facility support
Essential Skills/Knowledge
- Proven record of success in capital project management.
- Assertive self- starter with good communication, interpersonal, project management, and technical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload. Works to satisfy internal customers and has the desire to succeed.
- Engineering knowledge and experience with electro-mechanical drive systems and controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, AC/DC motors including starters and speed controls, PLCs, HMIs, and assembly machinery.
- Knowledge of predictive, preventative, corrective design and maintenance of electro- mechanical equipment and systems as necessary to prevent and/or eliminate ongoing problems.
- General knowledge of Facility infrastructure.
- Experience in Flexible Packaging / Converting operations is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience/Qualifications
- B.S. Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 year experience with process control equipment.
- Programming experience with one or more of the following:
- PLCs - Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens
- Drives (VFD/Servo) – Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Emerson
- HMI – Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, Automation Direct
- Software – Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, Automation Direct, Control Techniques
- AutoCAD 2D
