Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our Assisted Living team at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center. This flexible schedule position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. Culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in Burnsville, MN.
This cook/chef services position includes;
+ 48 hours every two weeks
+ Hours are 11:30am-8:00pm, 2 shifts during the week
+ Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is part of a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care for seniors. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital, conveniently located at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN.

+ Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
+ Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
+ Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
+ Set up line service
+ Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
+ Assists with special events
+ Assists Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
Required:
+ ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
+ Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
+ Must have good problem solving and time leadership skills
+ Good written and oral communication skills
+ _Must be 18 years of age or older_
Preferred:
+ Vocational/technical training/education/degree
+ High School Diploma/GED preferred
+ Cooking experience in a similar environment
+ Scratch cooking experience
