Key Responsibilities include:

Material and Supply Management:
- Ensure all necessary materials and supplies are available for food preparation, including ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Station Setup:
- Set up station according to established guidelines and requirements to ensure guest safety and efficient workflow.
Food Preparation:
- Prepare food according to established recipes and plating guidelines, maintaining product quality and adhering to cooking time standards.
Order Coordination:
- Coordinate food orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery to each table, maintaining communication with kitchen staff and servers as needed.
Independent Execution:
- Execute designated preparation and/or line stations independently under normal conditions, demonstrating proficiency and skill in food preparation techniques.
Sales Forecast Adherence:
- Prepare food according to the sales forecast and business level, ensuring adequate preparation to meet customer demand.
Workstation Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean appearance and workstation, ensuring overall kitchen cleanliness by cleaning all station equipment at the end of each shift.
Safety Standards:
- Adhere to safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment, prioritizing safety in all kitchen activities.
Restocking and Closing:
- Restock and/or break down workstation at the conclusion of the shift, ensuring all stations are properly cleaned and closed as directed.
Training Support:
- Assist management in training new staff members within the department when applicable, sharing knowledge and providing guidance as needed.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the company's products and menu offerings, staying informed about current promotions and specials.
Inventory Management:
- Notify manager/supervisor of low inventory and recommend new inventory, communicating opportunities and concerns to support efficient operations.
Task Flexibility:
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by chefs, management, or supervisors, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in job responsibilities.
Safety and Sanitation:
- Understand and utilize all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program, reporting any accidents or concerns to management promptly.
What you will bring:
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be SERV-Safe certified.
- Six months to one year minimum as a prep/line cook in a full-service, high-volume restaurant required; must have knowledge of the cooking techniques utilized in the scope of the prep/line position applying for; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching.
- Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
