Coord CLH (FT) Center for Lung - Huntsville Hospital Health System

Responsible for the overall successful operation for the Center for Lung Health. Demonstrates knowledge and performance of all aspects of services offered by CLH and serves as a clinical specialist / educator to include but not limited to pulmonary rehabilitation/services, smoking cessation program, therapeutic pulmonary services, pulmonary diagnostics and other services offered through CLH.  Tracks and monitors performance measures.  Works collaboratively with the CLH Director to ensure departmental efficiency and productivity.

Education:

Must be licensed by the ASBRT, registry by the N.B.R.C. preferred.  BLS certification is mandatory for employment.  Must successfully complete AACVPR Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certification Program and the following AARC courses: Pulmonary Disease Educator; Pulmonary Function Testing Courses (Spirometry, Advanced Concepts and PFT: Pediatrics); Tobacco and Smoking Cessation Training within 1 year of employment as the CLH Coordinator.

Experience:

Require experience as a respiratory therapist. Must have experience in pulmonary diagnostic testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Additional Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.  Excellent communication, leadership, management and presentation skills necessary.  Must possess basic skills in finance, budgets and the ability to control resources within budget. Ability to organize, accomplish goals and objectives, meet deadlines and problem solving using discretion, and sound judgment.  Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret complex data to find solutions to unusual and difficult problems. Must have a working knowledge of word-processing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas Bronchial Hygiene including delivery of medications via aerosol and MDI, Oxygen Therapy, and Arterial Blood Gas Collection, Pulmonary Function testing and Cardiac Monitoring.
