Shift: 4-10 hour shifts with start times as early as 6:30am

Summary:
Coordinates and provides oversight of assigned prevention and wellness programs and initiatives for Community Health Service (CHS) including serving as a charge nurse at assigned sites. Performs clinical Registered Nurse (RN) functions (e.g. providing immunization assistance) as assigned by appropriate members of the CHS medical team. Works independently on a variety of functions to support the CHS. Assists with development and implementation of prevention and wellness programming. Assists with communication, data collection and outreach activities. Manages relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Plans and coordinates unit activities impacting patient care delivery; ensures appropriate care is given and provides guidance as needed. Maintains accountability for ongoing CHS region operations and population health initiatives, including practice and financial management. Collaborates with the CHS team on the provisioning of patient care, performing clinical reviews of selected patients to determine service needs, and providing case management/coordinating the care of patients receiving care at CHS sites. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Ohio. Three years professional RN clinical experience. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including experience making presentations to a wide range of audiences. Demonstrated ability to identify and effectively resolve problems/issues. Strong critical thinking, abstract thinking, and analytical skills. Ability to embrace change and adapt to quickly evolving situations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to establish and cultivate productive and positive working relationships with a wide range of partners, including MetroHealth staff, external clients, and community constituents. Demonstrated competence and experience using Microsoft Office software products, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to take clinical on-call time. Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends. Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including basic knowledge relating to nursing such as biological, physical, psychosocial, and medical sciences and their applications. Thorough knowledge of the use and care of instruments, equipment and supplies related to nursing service or ambulatory medical practice. Thorough knowledge of the theory and principles of medical asepsis. Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire. Current Ohio Driver's License along with safe driving record that does not exceed 6 points. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing or in a related health care field Experience with virtual or mobile clinical care modalities Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. A high degree of physical coordination and finger-hand dexterity. Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Position involves exposure to extreme seasonal temperatures and road conditions, fumes, and/or loud noises. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
