Job Description
The Copper I&R Technician position is in California. The primary function is to install DSL internet services, providing world class quality, and product education for residential and commercial customers. We are the prime in this market.

Role and Responsibilities for Copper I&R Technician
- Installation, maintenance, and repairing of copper systems for residential and commercial customers.
- Ensuring adequate performance of internet, phone and if applicable, television services
- Complete pre-install work order and post-install service verification and customer education to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Place aerial or buried copper drop wire and install interior/exterior wiring.
- Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
- Work at heights by using/setting up various types of ladders.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Teamwork - Assist other technicians in the performance of their duties when requested.
- Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to our customers.
- Have an ability to adapt to new processes and new information frequently.
- Use internal systems for work order notation and time keeping.
- Keep customer appointments.
- Maintain minimum acceptable metrics with Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements for Copper I&R Technician
- Knowledge of copper plant and premise wiring.
- Working knowledge of copper cable repair and rehab.
- Must satisfy company required tools and safety equipment checklist.
- Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
- Must have own tools to perform the job.
- Android Samsung Galaxy S23 or newer is required.
- Laptop with Microsoft Excel is required.
- Lift up to 80lbs unassisted.
- Effective communication skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test.
- Must be accountable and dependable.
Compensation
Hourly and per diem for travel to and from market
Hourly units for cable maintenance skilled Copper I&R Technicians
