Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Corporate Accountant. This is a remote direct hire role reporting to the Accounting Manager. Our client is a dynamic company in a creative high-growth industry. This role will be supporting the financial operations team. Full General Ledger experience,  will be responsible for the balance sheet and income statement as well as month end close.  The Corporate Account will be working in financial reporting, compliance, audit and tax. In this role you will work with accounting and corporate teams on financial processes, data analytics and strategies to help with corporate growth. The right candidate will be a proactive team player who is obsessed with detail, hyper organized and loves finance and process improvement.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA nice to have
• 5 years plus experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Experience with accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience with accounting software, GoogleSuite and Microsoft Excel.
• Superior analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Work will independently within a team.
• Detail focused.
• Nice to have experience with an ERP

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Accruals: As part of the month end close process, analyze and update accruals accordingly.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insights to support strategic planning.
• Compliance, Audit, Tax Compliance, Payroll tax Compliance, 1099 reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in accounting principles.
• Process Improvement: Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in providing detail for the development of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
