Overview:
To support our Sustainable Industries Business, the Legal Counsel assists in protecting an organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides hands-on counsel to all levels of executive staff and manages the operations of the legal department. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations to top management, and assures legal compliance.

To support our Sustainable Industries Business, the Legal Counsel assists in protecting an organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides hands-on counsel to all levels of executive staff and manages the operations of the legal department. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations to top management, and assures legal compliance.
Responsibilities
- Will work under the supervision of the general counsel and is responsible for all the legal secretarial and administrative work
- Responsible for research and analyze all the articles, legal documents used in the preparation of various contracts
- Ability to calendar and monitor the deadlines for different kinds of claims, litigations or any other relevant legal procedures
- Should make sure that the clients' or organizations' goals and objectives are achieved in compliance with the rules and regulations
- A thorough knowledge of the laws is important to perform all the investigation, research work needed for claims and lawsuits right from the beginning
- Able to study and analyze the policies and practices that may be affecting the organization
- Must be able to carry out research on the current laws as well as keep abreast with the changing laws that may affect the organization.
- Should pay close attention to see that all the legal procedures are followed. If there are any alterations needed, they can advise and recommend these changes. They can also help to develop new procedures, policies and rules that may be in the interest of the organization.
- They are also responsible for negotiating different types of contracts for the organization. They provide legal advice to support the growth of the business and should identify, assess and manage the legal risks involved.
- Draft & negotiate commercial contracts, in particular service agreements and NDAs.
- Be able to counsel business clients on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and legal strategy.
- Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Experience with renewable energy, energy services, or industrial clients is preferred
- Requires admittance to a state bar, must be in good standing
- Licensed in the United States
