The Cost Accountant will be responsible for optimizing financial performance through strategic cost analysis, providing critical insights for business decisions, and enhancing operational efficiency through data-driven recommendations. This position is an on-site role with an annual salary starting at $80,000.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze production costs and variances to identify areas for improvement
2. Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems
3. Monitor inventory levels and valuations
4. Prepare cost reports, budgets, and forecasts
5. Collaborate across departments to implement cost-saving initiatives
6. Review manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving measures
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Mastery of cost accounting principles and methodologies
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (EPICOR - preferred)
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
