Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from college with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and two (2) years of experience performing above or related duties.
Bachelor's Degree required, preference will be given to those with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
An equivalent combination of education and experience to the above criteria is also acceptable.
Essential Functions:
Performs cost study of the financial activity of the center. Calculates total compensation per employee for audited fiscal year. Creates an allocation distribution file and enters general ledger information. Creates service unit reports throughout the year for analysis of center performance. Calculates total cost per hour of service unites by employee. Combines data to calculate a total cost by activity cost and cost center. Calculates actual cost incurred during the year by cost center. Makes adjustments to allocation file to accurately calculate the cost per service unites by cost center. Creates reports using the cost per unit calculations for profitability report. Verifies employee wages, benefits and hours for cost study. Provides information to auditors, answers questions, and responds to audit findings.
Prepares profitability reports; performs various cost and productivity studies of the financial activity of the center; utilizing personal computer and customized spread sheet and data base applications; develops spread sheet methodology, creates macro programs and linking documents as needed to monitor, track, allocate and justify financial activity of the center; produces intermittent and final reports essential to the verification of funding eligibility and contractual/program obligations.
Tracks inpatient admission activity; verifies for financial funding and Medicaid eligibility, creates reports, monitors inpatient claims, prepares inpatient payments, coordinates with multiple departments and maintains inpatient database. assists the Financial Services Manager in preparing Milliman reports for statistical analysis.
Conducts research; prints reports to verify account/accrual balances; identifies errors in records; makes adjusting entries as needed to reconcile differences in accrual and utilization balances.
Helps the Fiscal Services Manager with period end accounting close and any other special projects as needed.
Monitors private provider payments and maintains payment and accrual records.
Performs special projects; develops custom reports, creates charts, graphs and various illustrations for use as presentation materials to boards and special groups.

Additional Requirements: Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
Compensation:
Starting wage range: $24.92 - $31.57 per hour DOE
