Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Estimator to join their team!

A Cost Estimator plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and pricing of bids for upcoming projects. This will be a collaborative environment where mentors and coaches support each other in learning and sharing knowledge. As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for creating execution plans and developing cost estimates for significant dredging projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost estimates for entire projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project scope and specifications.

• Leverage operational knowledge to develop accurate and realistic cost estimates for operations.

• Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and cost-effective solutions relevant to projects.

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights necessary for precise cost estimation.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.

• Demonstrate proficiency in preparing hard bid project estimates, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.

• Provide detailed breakdowns of estimated costs and justifications for each component in hard bid submissions.

• Assist in the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with estimated costs.

• Collaborate with the finance team to track actual costs against estimated costs throughout project execution.

• Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and value engineering to enhance project profitability.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's estimating processes and methodologies.
