Job Description and Functions

• Cost Estimator is responsible for all aspects of quoting new and existing business.
• Develop complete tooling and fabrication cost estimates based on the specifications provided.
• Assist customers in defining design for manufacturing ability problems.
• Gather all necessary information from the customer to provide a complete and accurate scope of work description at new product introduction (NPI) meetings.
• Provide technical and other engineering assistance in a timely fashion to various departments as needed.
• Present and negotiate quotes with customers and the sales team to help secure new business awards.
• Receive and convert customer Solidworks CAD files.
• Solicit component and raw material cost from suppliers.
• Analyze blueprints, electronic and technical data specifications that will influence cost.
• Ability to interface with customers during technical discussions to ensure successful bidding
• Maintain records in paper and electronic format in alignment with company procedures.
