Perform difficult assessment, clinical intervention, case management, program coordination and counseling duties in a behavioral health or developmental services setting.

Representative Work Functions and Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the marketing of related services through outreach and education.
• Provide services to the community that are associated with the care of NAS babies.
• Schedule, plan, and facilitate various community events to offer support and education to the targeted population.
• Maintain records of purchases, contacts, and participation in the various activities related to the assigned project.
• Provide regular updates and reports, as assigned and/or requested, to offer leadership information on the progress of various activities.
• Coordinate with the Department’s Media Specialist to determine the best approach to reach the community to offer the needed information and resources.
• Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders in an organized and professional manner.
• Independently respond to correspondence pertaining to project inquiries and needs.
• Maintain and update outreach resources such as information and educational materials

• Experience using electronic healthcare records
• Supervisory experience
• Experience with procurement and tracking financial transactions
• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
• Customer service experience
• File maintenance experience
• Experience working with confidential information

Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:

• Requires a four (4) year degree in a human services field (psychology, mental health, special education, social work) and three (3) years’ experience working with persons with intellectual disability OR experience and/or training equivalent to seven (7) years in fields providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for working with persons with intellectual disabilities.
• Must have, or obtain, a current and valid driver’s license.
