PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
More than half of job duties include:
1. Supervising and providing training for Count Team, coaching on best practices and procedures.
2. Assists in creating and implementing policies and standard operating procedures related to the Count Team Department.
3. Setting performance standards and work goals for Count Team on their shift. Continually assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of work performed.
4. Creating and administering employee performance evaluations.
5. Initiating corrective/disciplinary action as necessary per Company policies.
6. Participates in interviews and makes recommendations to hire new Count Team staff.
7. Complies with and ensures count room department policies and procedures are followed.
8. Ensures count team complies with safety procedures.
9. Plans and directs work of Count Team to staff accordingly.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Leads and assists in the daily counting of casino chips and excess cage cash.
2. Responsible to oversee preparation of the daily excess cash deposit from the cage.
3. Responsible to ensure that all casino revenue shift (Poker and California) collections are accurately counted, documented and transferred to the cage.
4. Responsible to ensure that all casino revenue and jackpot collections are properly entered into the computer system and is reconciled with the physical count.
5. Ensures that all food and beverage revenue is accurately counted, documented, and transferred to the cashier cage. (In the event “MIMO” machine is out of service).
6. Ensures that discrepancies of the daily count is researched and corrected before transferring the chips to the cage.
7. Before the end of shift, informs the Count Team Manager of any count room process discrepancies that require further evaluation.
8. Complies with and enforces California Gambling Control Regulations pertaining the Minimum Internal Controls Standards (MISC).
9. Informs the Count Team Manager in a timely manner of any count process discrepancies and other operational incidents.
10. Maintains ongoing communication with Count Team staff, Security, Cage, Engineering and Surveillance for the timely counting of collection boxes.
11. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by Count Team Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience Required: One year of cash handling experience
Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
