Job Summary
- Credit Analysts are responsible for completing all financial analysis reviews assigned and reporting results to senior credit staff or loan officers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for completing all financial analysis reviews assigned, reporting results to senior credit staff or loan officers as applicable. Follow-up to ensure timely responses to the recommendations and the resolution and/or implementation of the same.
- Examines files systematically for adequacy of credit and/or deficiencies; reports examination results to the senior credit analyst, loan officers or management as requested.
- Prepare written analyses on all large loans, large aggregate lending to one borrower, complex loans, and weak loans.
- Assist in the preparation of loan rating reviews and watch list presentations for the loan loss reserve adequacy reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of technical exception reports, non-conforming loan reports, and other documents, for the eventual benefit of loan officers.
- Responsible for maintaining certain tracking lists to include customer financials, loan policy exceptions and loan covenants.
- Assist internal and external auditors in their reviews, making them more efficient and enabling the bank to control costs.
- Review loan documentation for completeness and correctness.
- Identify and manage call referrals/joint calls within the bank for other bank-related services for cross selling opportunities.
- Confidentiality is required in all phases of employment.
Desirable Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a business or finance field required, including specific courses in accounting, finance and real estate.
- Good verbal communication skills as evidenced by the ability to interact both face-to-face and over the telephone with examiners, consultants, auditors, customers and co-workers. Demonstrated ability to use tact, diplomacy, and a "professional" personal appearance, when dealing with examiners, consultants, auditors, customers and co-workers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving ability. High attention to detail and proof reading and editing skills.
- Good written communication skills. Working knowledge of various word processing and spreadsheet software.
