Position Summary
Responsible for analyzing/underwriting/reviewing the creditworthiness of commercial loan customers as well as evaluating the degree of risk and present findings to senior management and the Board of Directors. Analyze and interpret credit and financial metrics for both new and existing mortgage and commercial customers to asses cash flow and overall ability to pay.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide loan underwriting based on a comprehensive credit analysis of the customer's global financial position (credit bureau analysis, cash flow analysis, loan structure, and collateral).
- Review credit submission package submitted by lenders for completeness.
- Analyze, review, and assess the creditworthiness and risk of both new and existing mortgage and commercial customers. with heavier focus on commercial clients.
- Prepare in-depth credit summaries and provide risk rating analysis for loan officers and Board of Directors.
- Review and analyze both residential and commercial real estate appraisals for quality control purposes.
- Assess liquidity, depth, and quality of management, market position, industry metrics, and overall business climate to better predict the future profitability of business.
Education and Experience
- Must possess exceptional financial analytical abilities and problem solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of all forms of financial statements including personal and business tax returns to produce a financial analysis to be used in the loan decisioning and underwriting process.
