Liberty Resources’ Mobile Crisis program has dedicated county teams designed of licensed and unlicensed providers responding in tandem to folks in crisis. Liberty Resources Mobile Crisis Services is a state recognized program by the New York Office of Mental Health and Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. We have built strong relationships and a successful reputation with providing efficient and quality crisis services within a five-county region. Liberty Resources works in collaboration with the Central New York Directors Planning Group that consists of Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga and Oswego Directors of Community Services.
Position Summary:
Mobile Crisis is a trained response team that is available to deescalate crisis, divert unnecessary hospitalizations or arrests and link folks to needed services in the community. Mobile Crisis is designed to provide a rapid crisis response, telephonically or in the community for adults and youth experiencing a behavioral health/substance use crisis. As part of crisis stabilization, the team provides Telephonic and/or Mobile Crisis follow-up.
Essential Job Functions:
Provides crisis triage by phone to all individuals in crisis and/or third-party referents to include but not limited to law enforcement, local crisis lines, community providers, parents and natural supports.
Completes crisis triage assessment and accesses all available electronic platforms to gather additional information to include but not limited to Liberty Electronic Medical Record and Psyckes to assist in determining the most appropriate level of crisis response.
Collaborates with internal/external crisis responder team to include but not limited to clinical on-call, substance use, domestic violence, case management and housing providers.
Provides the most appropriate level of crisis response to include: Telephonic, Telehealth or In-person crisis response.
Conducts all necessary efforts to collaborate with individual, treatment team members, natural supports and all necessary community providers to include but not limited to conducting telephonic/in-person follow-up’s, requesting/participating in care coordination meetings and making all referrals.
Qualifications:
Must have at least a HS diploma/GED or certification in related human services field with at least two (2) years of experience in mental health and community-based experience. Preferred certification or working towards certification in the following:
· Certified Peer Specialist
· Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
· Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPS)
· Certified Recovery and Peer Advocate with a family Specialty
· Qualitied Peer Advocates
· Credentialed Family Peer Advocate
· Demonstrates the values of diversity, equity and belonging; foster an inclusive enviornment that facilitates diversity.
Therapist requirements: a Master's degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family counseling, nursing or related clinical degree. Preferred Licensed/license eligible with two (2) years post-graduate mental health experience.
All roles must possess valid NYS driver's license, access to reliable transportation and be willing to transport individuals in their personal vehicle when necessary. Must be willing to participate in all required federal, state, county and agency training to include but not limited to Narcan Training, Crisis Acuity Scale, Evidence-based assessments, Person-centered and Trauma informed approaches. Demonstrates a high standard of professionalism, cultural sensitivity and collaborative efforts when interfacing and co-responding with law enforcement and individuals/providers involved.

Pay: $28.58 per on call shift (which equates to $200.00 for one week)
$100.00 per on call shift on an agency observed holiday
$100/crisis call; $50/telehealth; $50/Face to face follow-up
