- Job Summary
This pharmacist position is responsible for patient care including operational and clinical pharmacy services to adult patients in the Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit (NTICU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Step-Down unit. Specific unit responsibilities and patient care rounding experiences will vary based on the position outline below as well as involvement in special projects. The individual must display maturity, independence, initiative, and strong communication skills. In addition, individuals will exemplify the CoxHealth mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with CoxHealth policies and procedures.

- Education
- Required: B.S. in Pharmacy required
- Preferred: Pharm.D. degree preferred
- Experience
- Preferred: Two years of residency, including a one-year specialty residency in critical care OR
- Preferred: One year of general residency plus two years of current direct-patient care in critical care OR
- Preferred: Five years of current direct-patient care experience in critical care
- Skills
- Individual would spend approximately 80% of the time with patient-centered responsibilities in their respective areas: NTICU/CVICU/CCU/MICU/Step-Down and 20% completing committee, precepting and special project responsibilities.
- Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, other computer systems software, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment as necessary.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist or eligible for licensure by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist and obtains licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certified or expected within 3 years of starting the position.
- **Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire**
- ACLS - obtain within 365 of hire
