This application is specific forsummer employment in Milwaukee, Wisconsinas a Camp Counselor at Cru25 Kids Care and Kids Camp, a childcare program open to the children of Cru staff attending the Cru national conferences. Kids Care is a program for preschoolers; Kids Camp is a program for elementary students.We will employ counselors for up to two weeks. CruKids summer jobs begin Monday, July 7, 2025, and end after the workday on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for watching over children, ensuring their safety and well-being for a specified period of time under the supervision of Lead Childcare Worker and/or the Cru Childcare Coordinator. Entry level position of childcare for Cru staff members and donor children.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
As an employee with Cru:

- Express a dependence on the Holy Spirit in the performance of his or her duties
- Consistently attend, participate and share in team and ministry devotional times and in other activities specified by his or her leadership.
FOR THIS ROLE
- Follow the direction and supervision of the Lead Teacher and/or Childcare Coordinator.
- Greet children upon arrival and engage children in room activities while the Lead Teacher connects with parents.
- Observe and monitor children's play activities.
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games.
- Assist room lead in ensuring Cru Childcare Policies and Guidelines are carried out for the safety and health of children within the room.
- Notify the Lead Teacher of potential health issues, disruptive behavior, any injuries or any signs of possible abuse of a child.
- Support childrens emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Maintain Cru Childcare policies and guidelines including awareness of ratios and adult lead presence as required.
- Assist in the safety and cleanliness of equipment through sanitation and organizing.
OTHER FUNCTIONS (Non-essential)
Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.

Age 16 and older are preferred but we do allow 14 & 15-year-olds; they can be hired as childcare workers if they are qualified (according to state guidelines).
