HJF is seeking a Curriculum Development Lead for Digital Learning and Strategic Innovation to develop engaging online courses for the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness Advisor (H2F-A) program. The overall goal of this project is to bridge the gap between holistic health and fitness scientific research and the general public's knowledge and ability to optimize their health, performance, and well-being.
The Curriculum Development Lead for Digital Learning and Strategic Innovation will work with subject matter experts to develop online courses that will span the domains of physical readiness, mental readiness, sleep readiness, spiritual readiness, nutritional readiness, behavior change, integration, and resource management. They will apply the latest technology and behavior change principles to develop courses that increase content knowledge, engagement, and meaningful applications to one's life. They will also be responsible for developing mental fitness and behavior change courses.
This position will be in support of the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) under the Uniformed Services University Department of Military Emergency Medicine. They will be working with the Human Performance Resources by Champ (HPRC) Team to develop and stand-up curriculum for the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness Advisor (H2F-A) program.

We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Responsibilities:- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across diverse domains, including physical readiness, mental readiness, sleep readiness, spiritual readiness, nutritional readiness, behavior change, integration, and resource management, to create high-quality online courses.
- Develop mental fitness and behavior change courses that align with current research and best practices in the field of health, wellness, and human performance optimization.
- Apply instructional design principles and utilize the latest e-learning technologies to create engaging, accessible, and effective course materials that enhance knowledge retention and application.
- Research and integrate the latest digital learning tools and technologies to improve course delivery, increase learner engagement, and ensure an interactive learning experience.
- Use behavior change models and evidence-based strategies to design courses that foster meaningful application of concepts in learners' personal and professional lives.
- Explore and implement innovative instructional methods such as gamification, adaptive learning, and multimedia elements to increase course engagement and effectiveness.
- Develop a strategic plan to optimize technological advancements, including generative artificial intelligence (AI) and wearable technology, to enhance sustainability in learning and behavior change outcomes.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assigned Lead: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.
Education and Experience
- Master's Degree in Education required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expertise in using digital learning platforms, multimedia tools, and emerging technologies to create engaging online courses.
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning theories, and curriculum development processes, particularly for online and blended learning environments.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and producing digital learning content, including writing course materials, developing assessments, and creating multimedia elements (videos, graphics, simulations).
- Expertise in mental fitness, mindsets, and behavior change principles to develop an online course.
- Experience in generative AI or wearable technology is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly, work well with others, identify and resolve problems, and deliver results as a team.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust.
Work Environment
- This position is primarily telework and will require travel.
Compensation
- The annual salary range for this position is $73,800-110,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
