Custodian - Methodist University

Serves as a custodial team member responsible for the cleanliness of facilities that influence image and perception of the University....EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School/GED or the equivalent required.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Cleaning in an institutional environment is a plus.

Applicant must be able to furnish work/character references.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Cleaning methods, materials and equipment

Hazards and safety precautions related to general maintenance and custodial activities.

ABILITY TO:

Comprehend and implement techniques provided through training sessions and/or feedback from department leadership.

Clean and care for assigned areas and equipment.

Read and write English to carry out oral and written directions.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Lift/move heavy cleaning equipment.

Work weekends in addition to regular work week based on university activities and cleaning requirements. It is a condition of employment.
