POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of position is to maintain the cleanliness of the building workspaces on the first and second floor, including minor grounds keeping and winter walkway maintenance. Custodian will perform cleaning functions specific to the building. The custodian will perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and follow safety precautions and will work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Consistently promotes interactions and activity that reflect the Mission and Values of the organization while demonstrating and ensuring person centered customer service and participant interactions.
Sweeping and mopping all tiled flooring including both floor washrooms, activity rooms, and kitchen area regularly.
Regular dusting as needed.
Vacuum all carpeted flooring on first floor and Executive Director office on 2nd floor
Clean all spills as needed
Collect and empty trash cans on first floor and 2nd floor office and dispose trash into dumpster daily
Restock paper and soap supplies in first and second floor bathrooms
Report any needs and concerns to appropriate staff in a timely manner
The ability to manage your time efficiently and work well when the supervisor is not present.
Communicate needs related to inventory of cleaning supplies
Performs similar and other duties as assigned.

Is dependable and reliable when scheduled to work as evidenced by infrequent use of sick time, absent time and lateness. Follows dress code and practices principles of good health and hygiene. Illustrates positive attitude and good work habits as evidenced by effective communication, teamwork, quality of work and care, initiative, cooperation and adherence to all policies and procedures.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS and EXPERIENCE
2 years related experience and/or training
