Customer Service Representative (Part-Time)

Northstar Metal is seeking to add a motivated and team-oriented Customer Service Representative to our team. We offer competitive pay; paid time off; a fully air-conditioned plant; and recently renovated cafeteria and other facilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers via telephone, email or in person to provide support and information on orders and services
- Collect and enter orders from new and existing customers
- Field customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the appropriate department or staff member
- Maintain customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
- Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary
- Welcomes and directs visitors and clients
- Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed
- Scan documents and save them in electronic files
- Make copies and file them in respective file
- Organize, maintain and update departmental files
- Print and prepare work orders for shop floor use
- Prepare and send invoices to customers in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
- 2 years of experience in customer service or clerical duties
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including active listening
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using ERP system is preferred
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced job shop environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to complete a drug screen
