We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, the ideal candidate will identify and develop new business opportunities, manage large project leads, and ensure accurate reporting of sales activities. Strong follow-up skills are essential for converting leads into awarded projects.
This role will initially begin with a 6-month trial period in Customer Service, during which time the primary focus will be acquiring product knowledge and building strong relationships with our customers. Upon successful completion of the trial period, this opportunity will transition into the Business Development Specialist, where this position begins with a comprehensive 6-8 week training period, during which the candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment, reliability, and dedication where responsibilities will expand to include identifying new business opportunities, fostering client growth, and driving long-term success for both our company and our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with professional distributors, including engineers, sales representatives, and administrators, to identify opportunities and create new business through targeted outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients to nurture leads and support business growth.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to strategize on sales initiatives and client engagement.
- Work closely with internal teams such as Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure a seamless customer experience and satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit quotes/ sales contracts and activity reports.
- Perform customer service tasks during the trial period.
- Stay informed about industry trends to effectively position our offerings.
- Project reporting and follow up with customer.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in business development, inside sales, B2B sales, or similar roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
- A proactive, results-oriented attitude.
Additional Details:
- Business attire required.
- Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Full-time position with Retirement, Profit Sharing, Holiday Pay, and Personal Time Off benefits.
