Cyber/Data/Privacy Attorney: 4th-6th year - Direct Counsel, LLC

Direct Counsel has partnered with leading global law firm with offices across the US, Europe and Asia to hire a mid-level associate an to join their Cyber/Data/Privacy (c/d/p) practice group with a focus on litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations related to privacy and data security issues. This position is available in their New York, San Francisco, Chicago, or Washington, DC offices. The firm boasts a diverse c/d/p group comprising over 30 full-time attorneys across the US, UK, Europe, and Asia. We are committed to the continued growth of our award-winning c/d/p litigation and investigations practice.

Requirements

Ideal applicants will have 4-6 years of experience focusing on regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies), and/or be well-versed in defending data privacy and security class actions (e.g., Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, claims involving allegedly unfair and deceptive trade practices, and data breach class actions). Successful candidates will have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school, the ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects, general tech fluency, and impeccable analytical and writing skills.

Benefits

The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
