About the Job
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support automated and custom virtual environment deployments to cater to cyber test and training needs
* Monitor system performance and system resource utilization, ensures system availability and reliability, and monitors trending and capacity planning
* Work with external stakeholders to deploy and integrate novel software and/or hardware solutions. Assist with integration of virtual and physical systems. Assist in documenting changes.
* Design, implements, and troubleshoots elements of system networking, including routing and switching, and supporting special communication methods such as VPN
* Resolves interoperability problems to enable operations across all platforms
* Configures both internal systems and customer-provided tools within mixed environments
* Assists in the development of technical presentations to senior management and customer personnel
* Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and viability of changes made to system infrastructure
* Assist in selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures
* Liaise with other personnel for problem resolution in fielded environments
* Work inside classified and unclassified environments to accomplish Government goals
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and five 5 years of work-related experience
* Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance at the TS/SCI level
* Ability to apply broad technical knowledge across key tasks to achieve desired results
* Ability to receive and properly apply guidance from leadership or customers
* Experience executing technology assignments
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Possess a high level of proficiency of systems administration and/or information technology concepts
* Strong written and oral communication skills to include technical reports and presentations
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with software development and/or scripting – e.g., Python, Bash, or Javascript/TypeScript
* Experience configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN)
* Experience with virtualization tools, especially VMWare ESXi and vCenter, physical to virtual (P2V) conversion, and integration of virtual and physical systems
* Experience with logical isolation of virtual enclaves to support isolated test environments
* Military experience or experience as a DoD contractor a plus
* Experience with various DoD-standard endpoint toolsets for OCO and DCO efforts (e.g., Kali Linux, Security Onion)
* Experience with the DoD Test and Evaluation (T&E) lifecycle, especially cyber testing
* CCNA or similar networking certificate
