Cybersecurity Engineer - Primary Talent Partners

Primary Talent Partners has a new Cybersecurity Engineer with our pharmaceutical manufacturing client in the Marlborough, MA area. This is a 3 month contract to start with high potential to extend and/or convert.

Pay: $40 - $45/hr based on experience; W2 Contract, no PTO, no Benefits

Schedule: M to F, normal business hours. Onsite.

Job Description: 
The IT/OT Security Engineer will be responsible for deploying an industrial demilitarized zone (iDMZ) for our server-based product and updating various security-based documents. The candidate should have a strong focus on networking and be familiar with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco Switches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage the iDMZ to ensure secure and reliable connectivity between IT and OT networks.
• Update and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security measures with organizational goals.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical support and guidance on network and security-related issues to IT and OT teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in networking, with a focus on deploying and managing firewalls and switches.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco Switches.
• Strong understanding of IT/OT convergence and the unique security challenges it presents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or PCNSE.
• Experience in industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA environments.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to cybersecurity.
