About the Job
Job Description:
- Db2 database products patching such as version upgrades and applying fixpacks.
- Installing Db2 products and Uninstall Db2 products.
- Developing backup and recovery strategy. Database backup and data recovery
- Database maintenance utilities such as runstats and reorgs
- Support DB2 services stop/start/validation activities during OS patching and OS maintenance.
- High Availability (HADR) setup and administration.
- Apply new db2 features to the database.
- Db2 Purescale setup and administration.
- Work with IBM DB2 Support for fixes for known errors.
- Data Modelling and database design like tables and index management for all types of tables.
- Design DB2 objects tables, indexes, views, triggers, cursors, constraints change to support application design and development efforts.
- Database build efforts such as create instances, create database, tablespaces, bufferpools, tables, indexes, views and other database objects.
- Db2 Security administration by granting and revoking privileges to the users for accessing
