Director of Nursing Operations - Behavioral Health, Psych

Overview:
Are you a seasoned nursing leader passionate about behavioral & mental health? We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing, Patient Care to lead our Behavioral Health Division in the Somerset County, NJ area.

Reporting directly to the CNO, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping and advancing our nursing care systems, ensuring patient satisfaction, and maintaining quality and safety standards. You will work closely with departmental managers and front-line leaders, driving the vision and strategic goals of our non-profit health system.

Qualifications:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• National nursing administration certification (or attain within the first year)
• MSN or DNP
• At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of strategic nursing plans and performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide administrative oversight for patient care units, ensuring compliance with clinical, financial, quality, and growth standards.
• Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, driving clinical and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a liaison to families, physicians, and ancillary departments while advocating for patients’ needs and maintaining confidentiality.
