Description
S2i2 is currently seeking a highly skilled Data Center Lead (Linux) to manage and optimize the data center services for the United States Mint. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining requirements, processes, and procedures for Data Center Services, as well as maintaining and updating the United States Mint Standards and Procedures Manual. This role requires a deep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure management, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Define Data Center Services requirements, process and procedure for all services within
scope of this SOW.
• Recommend Data Center Services requirements based on industry best practices.
• Provide business priority of systems (i.e., revenue generating systems vs. business systems). Develop, update, document, and maintain United States Mint Standards and Procedures Manual for all Data Center Services functions.
• Install, operate, maintain, manage, and make engineering recommendations for the Data Center Services equipment needed to support the United States Mint's operational requirements.
- Maintain infrastructure operating system, databases and software at a version consistent with Mint's approved baseline requirements to ensure the system is functioning properly, secure, and up-to-date.
• Communicate with appropriate personnel to ensure a smooth promotion of approved software into production, in accordance with United States Mint procedures.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
• 15 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or relevant field.
• ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification
• MCA Microsoft Azure Admin
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Satellite Administration within 6 months of onboarding.
• Practical skills, experience, and training in leading the design, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data center hardware and software, including but not limited to Linux Red
hat, patching, satellite, ansible system.
• Providing key support for DR Exercise and FISMA Audit
