Data Entry Specialist - American Technology Consulting

Title: Data Entry SupportLocation: 410 Capitol Ave Hartford, Connecticut 06134-0000Interview:- WebcamThe DPH Infectious Disease Section Informatics Program has oversight of thesurveillance system, CTEDSS, where the majority of Connecticut reportableprovider and laboratory reports are maintained. These reports are crucial forsurveillance epidemiologists to identify cases of disease, conduct case followup and management, and be able to categorize diseases correctly for reporting toCDC and DPH reporting.The extreme volume of reports during the COVID-19 pandemic response has resultedin a backlog of cases that require deduplication – person deduplication usingtools such as Accruint/Lexis-Nexis and case level deduplication. Other datamanagement assistance is required such as being sure that certain key dataelements are populated for all cases being reported. This identification is madeby Informatics Program staff who prepare lists of cases that need to be reviewedand corrected.Full-time Informatics staff require assistance to be able to manage thisdeduplication backlog and keep up with other data entry. We are looking to hire4 contractors who have data entry or business analyst experience to assist for 6months (January 8 to June 30, 2024). Persons with some experience or backgroundin healthcare, public health, or data management would be a plus. To obtain themost qualified candidates we are open to other job titles. These 6 months may beextended for up to 18 months. Remote work is an option.
