As a **Data & Governance Principal Architect Lead** in our **I** **ndustry Solutions Delivery (ISD)** organization, you will be at the forefront of shaping and delivering innovative data governance solutions. You will leverage your extensive experience in data architecture and governance to develop solution templates and accelerators, ensuring the commercial success of ISD sales team and scalability of delivery. As a Data & Governance Principal Architect Lead, you will focus on understanding Customer and Partner technical environments and deployment using project management methodologies and practice development as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for shaping and executing solution templates and associated service offering to support ISD client delivery projects, by gathering insights and working with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for architecture design by defining and documenting business and technical architecture patterns, generating intellectual property, and developing a network of relationships, initiating community events, and mentoring colleagues. You will also engage with Customer C-suite executives, effectively communicating and presenting at this level. The role requires leadership capabilities to manage large teams and deliver on complex projects effectively.

**Responsibilities**
+ Market and Technology Trends: Understand and analyze market trends and Microsoft product strategies to devise and implement ISD service offering strategies, in data, analytics, data governance and ML/AI space. Ensure ISDData & AIsolutions are aligned with current and future market demands and technological advancements.
+ Develop Reusable Intellectual Property (IP): Create and enhance intellectual property, including solution templates and accelerators, to address industry-wide gaps and drive organizational change in adopting Microsoft data and AI solutions. Focus on developing reusable assets that streamline delivery and enhance ISD's sales performance.
+ Pre-Sales Support: Participate in pre-sales activities, interacting with ISD customers during the sales process to understand their technical environments and deployment needs. Provide expertise to help secure new business opportunities.
+ Shape and Support Projects: Gather customer and partner insights from a broad range of stakeholders, including the main business sponsor, to shape and support multiple projects during their delivery phase. Act as a senior advisory architect, coaching solution architects assigned to full-time to projects.
+ Architectural Documentation: Define and document the architecture through comprehensive documentation, including architecture description documents, architecture decisions logs, and requirements/constraints traceability matrices. Clearly communicate the value proposition of the business solution and project approach.
+ Network and Influence: Build and maintain a deep network of relationships with decision makers at high-impact customers and partners. Leverage these connections to influence decisions, address problems, and gain additional perspectives on key matters.
+ Community Engagement: Initiate and drive external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, webcasts, blogs, hackathons). Serve as an industry-leading advisor to external stakeholders.
+ Mentorship and Leadership:Mentor less experienced colleagues on technical and non-technical concepts, sharing best practices and insights. Provide thought leadership and drive critical decisions impacting Microsoft and the industry. Lead large teams and manage complex projects effectively.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 4+ years managing multiple, complex projects or portfolios.
+ 2+ years experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in technology strategy units of big four advisories, McKinsey, Bains, BCGor top system integrator (SI) providers.
+ Experience with service offering strategy and scalable service offerings creation for large service organizations.
Solution Architecture IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $136,400 - $263,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,600 - $282,000 per year.
