The Data Integration Lead is in charge of managing several engagements, collaborating with various teams and business stakeholders, and focusing on multiple areas of data architecture, initiatives, projects, and integrations. This position’s primary responsibilities include enterprise architecture design, business analysis, and data modeling. This position collaborates with business users, application developers, and database administrators to translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical models while ensuring that all design and analytical deliverables adhere to enterprise standards. This role improves and maintains a repository of cross-referenced metadata of information required to facilitate the development of new applications. Specific duties may include:
- Develop a GW Research capabilities database by interviewing all cyber- related program leaders in various fields and Schools (starting with the 9 CSPRI Board members) to include degrees offered, courses taught and research ideas with DoD and other agencies to consider funding;
- Review the 2024 NDAA and identify areas of potential academic research;
- Establish mid-level discussions with ops people in geographically nearby agencies to identify possible partners and/or co-tenants for the GW (CPS)-led National Cyber Center initiative
- Develop an RoI analysis of the feasibility of creating a GW SCIF (Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility);
- Work with faculty at ESIA to organize a research effort to use data analytics and LLMs to streamline analysis focused on national security, to potentially lead to funded research through proposals to agencies.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis regarding acquisition of platforms and tools support core data structures and processes within the GW SEAS, and engage with program leaders various fields and Schools in COA analysis and decision- making regarding major investments required for a scalable strategic data effort.
- Provide consultation to Director and appropriate data/IT teams regarding the impact of data environment and investment decisions on analytic methods and reporting.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning tasks that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 7 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 5 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- The preferred candidate will possess 7 years serving in relevant defense, cyber, intelligence and security areas conducting assessments and analysis that assist in resolving problems, influencing and explaining guidance, and provides solutions.
- The preferred candidate will have worked at various levels across the federal government, industry, and academia in the areas of cyber, defense, intelligence, and security, and where the candidate has collaborated with key stakeholders across those communities.
Hiring Range
$92,790.58 - $204,000.00GW Staff Approach to Pay
