The main function of this role is to analyze, standardize, and preserve the integrity of the electronic health record.
Schedule: Hybrid, 2-3 days in Downers Grove, IL; Open to out-of-state applications.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to support system data integrity and standardization, in compliance with healthcare regulatory standards
• Perform chart corrections by utilizing various correction tools within Duly’s EHR, and additional applications
• Perform merges and unmerges
• Assist with Help Desk tickets and ensure timely resolution
• Monitor associated work queues
• Monitor Data Integrity email
• Investigate, validate, and resolve potential health information discrepancies and duplication
• Assist with reporting and audits (i.e., Incomplete Encounter and ASC)
• Uses established systems appropriately to ensure proper and accurate organization and documentation, for tracking and trending purposes
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure completion within established timeframes
• Serve as a resource and educator to administrative and clinical staff
• Ensure adherence to all HIPAA and Compliance regulations, guidelines, and policies
• Assist with training of new employees
• Other duties as assigned
- Minimum Associates degree in Health Information Technology preferred
- Strong Contact Center metrics methodology required
- RHIT or RHIA credential a plus
- 5+ years of relevant physician/ambulatory experience, preferably in an electronic health record environment
- Epic experience preferred
- Demonstrates commitment to the principles and ethics of the organization
- Computer skills, including EHR principles and Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of medical record format and content
- Good oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to educate and train others as needed
- Ability to interpret and analyze data/documentation
- Ability to work in a continuously changing environment, flexible
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
