POSITION SUMMARY
Working knowledge of data management and student information resource that support the performance objectives related to the overall management and operations of Student Services programs. Ability to communicate effectively with students, employees, and community stakeholders. Knowledge of and the ability to analyze data and create effective reports to measure and address performance initiatives and other special projects for the Student Services Department. This position reports to the Director of Student Services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs data management activities in accordance with District regulatory requirements. Develops process improvements for data management activities. Performs data analysis using statistical tools.
Audits data on a regular basis and ensures data integrity. Manages the regular report running schedule and process.
Supports development, enhancement, and maintenance of multiple datasets. Evaluates datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness. Interacts with other teams to obtain data requirements for new and existing applications. Identifies and corrects data entry errors. Records completed data entry forms and requests as needed. Presents data management updates at meetings.
Provides direct learning and instructional support for student alternative learning options (Virtual Support Temporary Engagement Program) to include the delivery of instruction, lesson planning, and progress monitoring.
Continuously assesses needs through multiple reporting sources. Addresses any issues, questions, and problems in an accurate and timely manner. Creates a database for storing data dictionaries and troubleshooting problems. Assists with professional development activities.
All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university required.
Minimum of three (3) years of educational experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Infinite Campus or similar student information system preferred.
Makes decisions and recommendations that may affect the District.
GaPSC Certification at Level 5 or higher required.
Analytical; supervisor is available to review established broad objectives; independent judgment is required.
Requires regular, frequent communication with internal personnel of influence (i.e., school administrative personnel).
Requires regular, frequent communication with external personnel of influence and different constituencies (i.e., external agencies, parents, community, etc.).
Responsible for supervising multiple functions with a high-level accountability for effective operation and results. Requires excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Applies, recommends and implements technology to improve the effectiveness of program operations.
Responsibility for the Welfare of Others: Constant (Daily)
Normal classroom/school and office settings. Must be able to stand and walk approximately seven (7) to seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. Requires some travel for meeting and stakeholder collaboration
Light duty - On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. Light lifting or carrying; twenty (20) lbs. or less, on rare occasions.
