KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: + Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user needs. + Identifies technology solutions through data modeling that support business strategies and organizational goals. + Analyzes historical data, models alternative scenarios and projects future trends. + Develops documentation for best practices and procedures. + Identifies methodologies to enhance data retention practices. + Develops and prepares reports. + May identify training opportunities, develop materials and facilitate training sessions. + Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + A bachelor's degree and two years of related experience including data management and analysis or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Experience with higher education data platforms like EAB, Peoplesoft, Slate and Tableau + Experience in data analysis/ management at a Research I University ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS: The Decision Support Analyst, Retention and Graduation, reports to the Associate Dean of Academic Advising and Success to manage and innovate retention projects, data management, and outreach. The ideal candidate will have strong data management skills, communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to student success. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies- + Knowledge of retention/ graduation strategies and their application in the higher education setting. + Knowledge of and appreciation for a complex research university. + Data management and analysis skills + Data visualization skills + Ability to conceive, plan, execute and assess projects. + Attention to detail with regard to specific policies, practices, and standards. + Ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders, such as students, faculty, staff administrators, and external agencies. + Ability to work effectively with teams on specific projects in a collaborative atmosphere. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Job Responsibilities- + Coordinate with the Associate Dean for Academic Advising and Success on retention and graduation initiatives, and data collection & analysis + Regularly create and provide pertinent data analytics to undergraduate leadership regarding retention indicators, such as failure to enroll, holds on registration, and disengagement from academic advising + Data management for retention, graduation, and academic standing + Coordinate comprehensive, individualized, and small group identification, outreach to a diverse population of students to foster retention, graduation and academic success. NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
