Dental Hygienist - Part-time - Dental Care Alliance

Valley Dental, located in Owings Mills, Maryland 21117, is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our growing dental practice. This is a part-time position working Monday and Thursday (8:30-5:00) & Friday 8:30-3:00).

To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team.  Great for new grads!

Previous RDH experience is always a plus, but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well.  The Dental Hygienist we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of Maryland.  New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon.

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
• Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
• Other duties as assigned

• Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland
