The Altus team delivers the core backbone of Enterprise IT services for our government customer. Our engineers are responsible for the architecture, engineering, integration, operations, maintenance, and sustainment of a worldwide multi-level/multiple classification Enterprise IT environment enabling collaboration between the US and Foreign parties.
In this exciting position, you will use your unique talents and make an immediate impact as Deployment Project manager by doing the following:

Deployment Planning and Management: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment of IT equipment, which may include hardware, software, and networking components. This involves not only coordinating the logistical aspects of deployment but also ensuring that the deployment aligns with project objectives, budget constraints, and timeline requirements.

Technical Expertise: Given the nature of IT equipment deployment, the Project Manager should possess a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure. This includes familiarity with various types of equipment, their functionalities, compatibility considerations, and best practices for deployment and configuration.

Resource Allocation and Management: In the context of IT equipment deployment, resource allocation extends beyond personnel and budget to encompass hardware, software licenses, network bandwidth, and physical space. The Project Manager must effectively allocate these resources to support the deployment process while optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Risk Management: The deployment of IT equipment introduces specific risks, such as compatibility issues, hardware failures, security vulnerabilities, and disruptions to existing systems. The Project Manager should assess these risks proactively, implement mitigation strategies, and allocate resources to address potential contingencies.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: In addition to general contractual obligations, IT equipment deployment projects may be subject to specific regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly regarding data security and privacy. The Project Manager must ensure compliance with these regulations and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, such as legal and compliance teams.

Documentation and Reporting: Documentation is crucial in IT equipment deployment projects, encompassing inventory lists, installation procedures, configuration settings, and user manuals. The Project Manager should oversee the creation of comprehensive documentation and establish processes for ongoing maintenance and updates. Additionally, regular reporting on project progress, issues, and milestones is essential to keep stakeholders informed and facilitate decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work with the higher-level project managers, if applicable, to provide effective and efficient management of the contractor’s effort.

Assist higher level project manager with allocation of resources (staffing, facilities, and budgets) on the effort.

Direct and manage the activities of a project team.

Provide direction and mentoring to project team members; set the appropriate goals and objectives.

Review risk and risk mitigation activities and allocate resources for the same.

Provide analysis of operational objectives and draft plans to meet objectives.

Mitigate project risks and issues that occur.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements imposed by the contract in coordination with the Contractor’s contracts staff.

Allocate resources (staffing, facilities, and equipment) to multiple simultaneous requirements.

Prepare and complete action plans to be presented to the Government.

Document system and project process improvements.
Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI Poly Clearance
-
Bachelor’s degree is Preferred.
-
Four (4) years of additional program management experience of similar scope, type, and complexity with at least one (1) of the four (4) years with the DoD may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

Five (5) of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for projects and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

One (1) year experience in Enterprise IT systems and projects. Managing and performing integration operations and maintenance activities on multiple system domains of various security classification levels and diverse user bases concurrently.
