About the Job
The Maximus Tools Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes and a deep understanding of DevSecOps best practices. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the security and efficiency of our applications within the CodeShuttle platform.

The Maximus Tools Engineering team is responsible for developing and maintaining the tools and infrastructure that support the CodeShuttle platform. We leverage Kubernetes to deploy our services, ensuring that each project is physically and logically isolated within its own namespace. This approach enables us to manage each project as a self-contained system, facilitating efficient scaling and cost optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the automation processes for daily activities, build activities and new feature and functionality with public and private cloud
- Interact with other team members and groups within the IT organization
- Help enforce the standards for server builds and services deployed in AWS and the private cloud by the cloud solutions teams
- Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, and GitLab to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
-Ensure the security of CodeShuttle applications by integrating security practices throughout the development lifecycle.
-Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
-Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are built, tested, and deployed efficiently within the CodeShuttle platform.
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
-Stay up to date on the latest DevSecOps trends and technologies.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
-Working knowledge of GovCloud and Federal Cloud (JAB).
-Experience with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
-Experience with programming languages such as NodeJS, VueJS, Ansible, Gradle, Groovy, Maven, Ant, Helm, Jinja, and Packer.
-Experience with database change management tools such as Liquibase.
-Experience with artifact repositories such as Nexus.
-Experience with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow.
-Knowledge of security standards such as NIST, OpenSCAP, and STIG.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
