The Development Assistant, Foundation Relations, will support two to three frontline Foundation Relations fundraisers with activities including: proposal preparation and submission; scheduling donor, volunteer, trustee and faculty meetings; drafting key communications including acknowledgment letters; tracking gifts; constituent management in donor database; and organizing donor meetings and attending when appropriate.

This Development Assistant will:
- Assist in coordinating elements of proposal submissions, and support cultivation and stewardship efforts for foundation donors and prospects.
- Develop proficiency in donor database, with the ability to run basic reports and queries.
- Maintain constituent information in donor database including biographical information, Trust codes, solicitor actions and proposal information.
- Maintain meeting calendar of supervisor and schedule internal and external appointments and meetings with donors, doctors, volunteers, trustees, and hospital staff.
- Reserve and prepare conference rooms and order refreshments for meetings and donor visits.
- Organize events and donor visits, including: developing and managing invitation lists, attendance, room space, refreshments, staffing the event and may attend when appropriate.
- Make travel arrangements for Trust staff, and hospital staff as needed.
- Provide general office support including answering phones, greeting and directing guests, and providing other basic administrative help as necessary.
- Assist supervisor with special projects and preparation of reports and documents as needed.
- Associate’s degree required and 4 years of fundraising related work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred and would replace the experience requirement.
- Volunteer or intern fundraising or alumni relations experience preferred.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate professionally.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with others and foster a positive organization and brand image.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint) required; Ability to work with data and databases is preferred.
