Technical development and support for Merchandising, Planning and Allocation applications.
Provide technical support for daily issues, break fix, change requests as well as implementation of enhancements and to support changes in the business. Work with Business, IT and PMO teams to ensure requirements and system development goals are successfully achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Must possess strong diagnostic, troubleshooting skills
- Provide technical support for applications; address daily issues, break fix, change requests, implementation of enhancements, additional functionality
- Thoroughly research issues to identify root cause, communicate status with appropriate sense of urgency, follow through with agreed upon resolution
- Analyze and document technical requirements to ensure all solutions successfully address business and system requirements in fully integrated manner
- Perform unit testing; support QA resources where needed
- Understand the flow and integration of data and information through multiple systems
- Responsible for change management in conjunction with changes, enhancements and new functionality implementation
- Communicate regularly to management and peers regarding progress, status, issues and critical decisions; call out risks
- Prepare documentation on system feeds, mapping, settings
- Establish and manage relationships with system vendors to encourage partnership and maximize quality of support; log incidents to be investigated by vendor
- Stay current regarding relevant tools (software packages, devices, etc.) available on the market; attend training classes or review documentation to learn relevant systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory; degree in Computer Engineering preferred
- Experience in knowledge of Retail industry preferred
- 5 plus years of experience in software development, execution and maintenance; experience with Merchandise, Planning and/or Allocation software applications preferred
- 3-5 years experience working with at least one of the relational SQL Databases : Oracle, SQL Server, MYSQL
- 2-3 years experience working with PL/SQL, Unix/Linux and Windows platforms
- Experience working with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, PHP etc
- Strong understanding of n-tier architecture theory and practice
- Experience in implementation and support of multiple applications as well as integration between applications
- Experience with markup languages like HTML
- Experience working with programming stack like C, JAVA, Dotnet
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Experience with cloud architecture like AWS
- High level knowledge of networking, remote desktop and FTP/SFTP concepts
- Experience with GUI and web tools
- High level knowledge of ETL and Scheduling tools, System Integration concepts
- Familiarity with Scrum/Agile development methodologies preferred
- Experience with build and deployment processes
- Experience with support model, SDLC and Change management
- Experience with Low code development platforms is a plus
- Understanding of the Operations of a large scale organization
