Maximus is currently hiring for a Diagnostic Scheduling Trainer to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team in Houston, TX. The Diagnostic Scheduling Trainer is responsible for coordinating and executing training and retraining for new and existing department personnel to ensure department standards and procedures are met. They provide support to all Diagnostic Scheduling Department personnel by providing guidance and instructions to schedulers' questions or procedural changes.
Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all team members are trained on departmental and company policies and procedures;
- Create training materials for, and lead training of new hire training classes;
- Work closely with the Department Managers and Team Leads to ensure all employees are properly trained or retrained;
- Ensure Team Leads, as applicable, are given the proper guidance on developing and mentoring their new Schedulers out of training;
- Ensure all standard operating procedures are up- to- date and available;
- Work directly with Department Manager and Diagnostics Recruiters to continually assess and improve procedural changes that will lower scheduled- out time (SOT);
- Acts as a mentor to Department Schedulers to coach and develop scheduling techniques;
- Review Diagnostic unscheduled cases and advise on scheduling solutions;
- Support the Department Manager in building team culture through teamwork and sharing of proven strategies to achieve common goals; and
- Work closely with the Department Manager to maintain a positive environment and an atmosphere that will encourage learning and growth.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high sense of urgency at all times;
- Attend meetings as required;
- Promptly answer and assist questions requested by Management, Providers, Scheduling and various other department(s) personnel; and
- Other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and general internet research abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Frequently utilizes phone, fax machine, computer, printer and copier;
- Occasionally will work extended hours beyond the regular 40 hours a week; and
- A casual office environment with moderate levels of noise created by office equipment and/or staff members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate; some college preferred; and
- Minimum of one year scheduling experienced required.
Education and Experience Requirements
Additional Preference:
- VES Scheduling experience highly preferred
- Ability to work onsite in the Houston, TX office required

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
