As a Diesel Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing diesel engines in various Trucking/Heavy equipment. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.
Diesel Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines in heavy equipment and semi-truck machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate assessments and efficient repairs.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete work orders.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and labor hours.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Diesel Technician Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician, preferably in a trucking/heavy equipment setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Relevant certifications or training in diesel engine repair.
