The role of a Sunshine Ford Diesel Technician is a full-time position, on a daily basis; you will be responsible for performing maintenance on diesel vehicles, repairs and troubleshooting automotive class vehicles to diesel commercial and delivery trucks/vehicles.

Job Summary:

• Preventative maintenance on customer fleets

• Repairs on Medium and Heavy duty Diesel trucks

• Engine accessories

• Computer diagnostics

• Troubleshooting on Ford and late model trucks

Job Duties:

• Follow an inspection checklist and perform routine maintenance

• Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions

• Read and interpret diesel diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment

• Raise diesel trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists

• Inspect diesel brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles

• Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components

• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
